Details: Location: Reading, PA - Per diem eligible! Duration: 12-month contract to hire Rate: $55-70/hr Responsibilities: - Oversee field operations to ensure safe, timely, and profitable completion of projects. - Plan, organize, and supervise specific construction work portions for assigned project areas. - Schedule T&D related activities of subcontractors to meet contractual construction requirements. - Maintain job progress continuity and maximize efficiencies in the assigned area. - Supervise various project work activities including high voltage transmission lines, substation equipment, and environmental compliance. - Ensure overall construction effort supervision, encompassing safety, productivity, materials management, and scheduling. - Ensure subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations related to T&D construction activities. - Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and subcontractors. - Collaborate with project management to develop and implement project procedures and standards. - Authorize purchase requisitions and field design change requests under supervision. - Review and audit site-specific safety documentation regularly. - Complete daily field reports and document construction progress through pictures. - Assess future work activities and identify concerns by utilizing subcontractors' reports. - Develop marked-up and as-built drawings for record set documents. - Direct and manage subcontractors to comply with project schedules. - Verify material deliveries meet specifications and coordinate preventative maintenance. - Coordinate with QA/QC Manager to ensure welder qualifications. - Witness equipment setting and alignment. - Conduct system walk-downs during hydrostatic testing to ensure compliance. - Develop punch lists for items out of compliance or incomplete. - Ensure the use of the most current drawing revisions in the field. - Execute project scope and changes as needed, ensuring field change orders are implemented. - Oversee craft supervision and project staffing as required. - Provide oversight of project site material and tool management. - Supervise and direct daily construction efforts, subcontractor direction, and code/specification compliance. - Read, interpret, and understand isometric drawings, structural drawings, and P&ID's. - Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree and 7 years of construction management experience or craft supervision on T&D projects; or - Associate degree and 9 years of construction management experience or craft supervision on T&D projects; or - High School Diploma/GED and 11 years of construction management experience or craft supervision on T&D projects. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. - Strong safety background. - Proficiency in Microsoft Suite. - Must meet driving requirements.
