Per company policy, being under the influence is not permitted while on Company premises. Team members must be clear minded and diligent while operating machinery. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Daily maintenance and minor repairs on various sewing machines and other equipment. Look for and suggest ways to improve processes. Record downtime and other maintenance performance data. Anything else deemed necessary. Level 1 Maintenance Technician: Must effectively communicate with multiple department supervisors and managers in order to prevent and resolve issues with machinery and other equipment. Receive assignments from Lead Person/Facilities Manager. Must be able to diagnose mechanical issues and correct them. Must be able to fill in for other maintenance technicians as needed. Must be able to complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities. Look for and suggest ways to improve processes. Level 2 Maintenance Technician: Additional requirements to level 1. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Assists in the start-up of new products and projects. Receive assignments from Lead Person/Facilities Manager. Interacts with the Purchasing Department and/or outside vendor technicians. Responsible for ordering and monitoring inventory. Must effectively communicate with multiple department supervisors and managers in order to prevent and resolve issues with machinery and other equipment. Must be able to diagnose mechanical issues and correct them. Must be able to fill in for other maintenance technicians as needed. Must be able to diagnose and resolve basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic, issues. Look for and suggest ways to improve processes. Maintenance Lead: Additional requirements to level 2. Responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance and repair of assigned equipment. Coordinates activities with all production support departments so that a smooth flow continues in the manufacturing process. Able to complete complex assignments as given by the Facilities Manager. Must be knowledgeable of all corporate policies and procedures. Responsible for enforcing safety procedures and programs affecting the department. Responsible for documenting all machine maintenance. Must research and present new ideas for both equipment and processes to improve overall production. Ensures that quality records are kept updated as required. Interacts with Purchasing Department and/or outside vendor technicians. Must effectively communicate with multiple department supervisors and managers in order to prevent and resolve issues with machinery and other equipment. Must be able to diagnose mechanical and intermediate level electrical issues and correct them. Must have basic electronic troubleshooting skills. Must be able to fill in for other maintenance technicians as needed and train new personnel. Look for and suggest ways to improve processes. Must fill-in for Department Manager at meetings as needed. AUTHORITY: All personnel are responsible for quality and therefore have the authority to stop production, if necessary, to correct quality problems. SKILLS REQUIRED: Read and write and speak English. Knowledge of sewing machines and other equipment in department. Must be computer literate. PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE: Experience in a facilities maintenance and equipment repair-related job preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift weights of up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Must have a full range of motion, including but not limited to, standing, bending, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching and climbing as necessary to complete the job assigned. Must be able to work in a moderate noise level. Must be able to work in a fast-paced job environment.
