Job opportunity for a Director/Manager of Architecture in case you may know someone qualified and interested including yourself. This will be working for a supermarket chain with a hundred year history with over 200 stores that will be adding up to ten new locations per year. Over the past several years the Company has generated record net income increases and continued to upgrade its fleet of stores and growing through acquisitions. Also in the most recent past, the Company acquired over 40 stores in Delaware, Virginia and Maryland and five stores in the Baltimore area. And most importantly, they are looking for someone that in the long term that can eventually replace their current Director of Architecture who will be retiring in the next couple of years, The Manager of Architecture is responsible for the daily management of the Architectural Department, as well as multiple outside consultants. They will develop resources, assign projects and be accountable for project schedules. The Manager of Architecture will be instrumental in project programming and design for new stores, retail centers, and gas stations; as well as expansions and/or remodel activities for stores and corporate support facilities (i.e., office, distribution, and manufacturing facilities).
