Summary Under general supervision, this position will perform a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties in order to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Responsibilities Trash removal Perform trash removal duties in accordance to established procedures Cardboard, wood, and steel recycling Keep VPC port clean and free of debris Provide custodial assistance Including snow removal and light maintenance issues such as clogged toilets, broken broom handles, etc Report any mechanical, manual, and/or preventative issues to management in a timely manner Respond to emergency calls as needed Maintain bathroom, break area, and basic facilities cleanliness Inventory and equipment maintenance Maintain and replenish inventory Operate and maintain equipment Operate various cleaning equipment Other duties as assigned Qualifications Skills Must be able to effectively communicate with Facilities Maintenance Manager and team members on all maintenance or supply issues Education & Experience High School Diploma/G.E.D. 1 year of Custodial experience Physical Requirements Drive Lift up to 40 lbs. Carry up to 40 lbs. Push/pull Bend/stoop Kneel Squat/crouch Stand Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job. Working and Environmental Conditions This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting. Operate buffer machines Operate color machines and hand-held scanners Precisely perform sanding, brushing touch-ups, and taping Exposure to paint, paint thinner, and sanding dust The position is based out of Philadelphia, PA at a plant manufacturing/warehousing environment.
