The Parent Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for calling parents/guardians of certain students with disabilities , offering them a remedy for alleged delayed or denied services, and capturing important details of each conversation in the District's information management system. This is a temporary role that will be available from September 2020-September 2021. The Parent Outreach Coordinator will be held accountable for the following responsibilities: Parent Outreach Coordinators will be required to utilize SSM (the District's special education information management system) to record their calls with parents/guardians. Training on using SSM will be provided. Timely completion of calls throughout the day. A positive attitude and sunny disposition. An excellent customer service background The ability to be natural and conversational, not scripted and stilted. Excellent listening skills. Time management skills to ensure calls are carried out on time and without becoming distracted. Type of Education Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent Type of Experience: Strong communicator. Computer literate. Excellent interpersonal and record-keeping skills. Experience working collaboratively with a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment. Preferred, but not required: Experience working with students and families of culturally diverse backgrounds. Experience working in a school in some capacity Bilingual College experience This position is currently remote, however, employees may be required to report to a physical location based on the operational needs of the district and in line with proper health protocols.
