Senior Accountant

LHH is partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding energy company committed to enhancing their team with talented individuals to hire a Senior Accountant. Job Description: This hybrid role requires working three days onsite in Carlsbad, California, and two days remotely. The ideal Senior Accountant candidate will have a strong background in accounting, advanced Excel skills, excellent analytical ability, and a keen attention to detail. Key Responsibilities: Participate in the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts to maintain accurate financial records. Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies in financial data. Prepare work schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support. Create and maintain Excel worksheets for various accounting tasks. Prepare and review financial statements and reports. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a similar role. Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create complex formulas and pivot tables. Experience working with a larger Accounting ERP system. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills.
