Full Stack Engineer

Our client is looking to fill an exciting and ambitious position on its development team! As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a senior member, encouraged to supply to the technical leadership and center of competence within the team. This includes: • Providing mentoring to the team of developers and Tech leads with specific emphasis on sound fundamental development methodology. • Providing leadership on project development policies, procedures, standards and strategies. • Participating in the team's effort to improve the efficiency and quality of the entire development process. Required Experience: • 4 - 8 years of development experience. • Bachelor's Degree • Excellent knowledge of REST concepts and developing REST API's using Spring boot with Tomcat. Object-oriented analysis and design experience • Excellent understanding of Java 8 capabilities especially data access techniques • Excellent SQL and Oracle PL/SQL and database concepts to work with large databases necessary • Good understanding of Cloud (Azure) engineering concepts • Experience working with Jenkins for build and deployment and BitBucket or Stash for source code management is highly desired • Good aptitude to quickly grasp newer concepts, learn on the fly and apply them in day to day work. • Smart analytical skills to derive meaningful inferences from data sets and then apply those inferences to resolve business challenges. • Ability to understand custom client data specs, apply them to the data feeds and understand the nuances where these data feeds differ from the Product standards. Document these differences and work with SMEs / Other team members to solve these differences. • Understand business problems, brainstorm on solutions to tackle these problems and break the solutions down into easy-to-follow action items.
