Job Title: Senior Metal Analyst Location: Mountainside, NJ Company: Chemtech, an Alliance Technical Group Company Pay Range: $23.00/hr. - $32.00/hr. Summary/Objective: Chemtech, an Alliance Technical Group company, is seeking a Senior Metal Analyst with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Responsibilities include performing routine metal analyses, logging samples, preparing samples, troubleshooting instrumentation, and reporting results. Expertise in EPA methods 6010, 6020, 200.7, 200.8, 7471b, and 245.1 is required. CANDIDATE MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH METAL ANALYSES Essential Functions: Conduct advanced metal analyses using ICP-AES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy) and ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry) per EPA methods 6010, 6020, 200.7, and 200.8. Implement mercury analysis through EPA methods 7471b and 245.1. Validate and interpret analytical data, ensuring precision and accuracy. Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize analytical instruments. Prepare and process samples while adhering to quality control and quality assurance protocols. Document findings in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Support method development and optimization for metal analysis. Provide technical guidance to junior analysts and lab staff. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in analytical techniques. Ensure laboratory safety and adherence to standard operating procedures. Required Qualifications: BS. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a general chemistry lab or 1 year in a specialized lab. Proficient in EPA methods, including: EPA Method 29, 306, SW-& 0061 EPA Method 5, 17, 201A, 202, 200.8, 6020, 245.1, 1631 Proficiency with CVAAS, ICP/OES, ICP/MS. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. High level of detail orientation and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and work independently. Comprehensive understanding of laboratory safety protocols.
