The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Enterprise Network Services (FENS) Third Party Vendor (TPV) Manager will have overall responsibility for interfacing with our vendors. As the TPV manager you will be responsible for facilitating and maintaining relationships between the various FENS functional teams and the various TPVs. You will be overseeing and evaluating vendor performance, needs assessment, spend optimization and risk management. Responsible for assessing supplier capabilities through technical discussions and quality audits. You will coordinate with the Functional Leads to manage the implementation of strategic solutions between the business and vendors. The TPV manager will direct the lifecycle activities for existing contracts. In addition, you will be required to produce Statements of Work (SOWs), convene monthly status review meetings, perform invoice reviews and ensure all deliverables are completed on time and according to the contracts and milestones. The TPV manager will also collaborate with our sourcing team and business office on the negotiations of the contracts. Ensuring all contracts and milestones align with the organizational due dates. You will be required to manage risk by ensuring the TPVs maintain their schedules and resolve any issues preventing them from completing their work on time, escalating as necessary. Responsibilites include: Create and support an environment that meets the Verizon's goals. Manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g., vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants, suppliers). Effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Implement processes to evaluate and select products, tools, services, and infrastructure components to ensure they are aligned with Verizon's needs and architectural principles. Develop criteria, policies and procedures for vendor evaluations. Accurately analyzes situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Leverage proper processes and practices for managing and administering contractual agreements. Negotiate across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner. Location may be flexible to any valid US VBG office. What we're looking for... You are an effective communicator, highly organized, well documented and able to work independently across many different functional teams. You will need to provide status against milestones and TPV evaluations. You'll need to have: Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training. Experience in working with OEMs and developing BOMs. Ability to manage and balance business and technical requirements. Experience in communicating (written and spoken) highly technical, multi-faceted (e.g., network, security, data, application) solutions to customers in a simple, understandable manner. Experience managing large-scale technical programs with end-to-end accountability. Demonstrated interpersonal communication, organization and project management skills. Telecom Industry experience. Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust government clearance. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Knowledge of: Data and IP Services (MPLS, SIP, internet, VPN, SDN, NFV, SDWAN). Access Technologies (TDM, Ethernet). Network Operations (Managed Services for WLAN, LAN, WAN, IP PBX, Automation/Orchestration). Security (DDOS, FW, IDS, WAF, DDI, SIEM, Analytics, Micro-segmentation). Wireless technologies (IoT). Voice Services (Circuit Switched Voice, IP Voice, SIP Trunking). Facility Services VRD Ordering and Installation Processes Hardware vendors such as Cisco, Panduit, Frequentis, MicroChip etc Communication, organization, and negotiation skills with the ability to successfully work multiple projects simultaneously. Public Sector Domain Experience to include both Federal and Department of Defense contract and procurement experience. Highly organized with an ability to manage competing priorities. Where you'll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
