Senior Accountant

Air General, a national cargo handling company, is seeking a Senior Accountant who will work out of our home office location in Portsmouth, NH. The role will report to the Director of Finance and serve as an integral member of the accounting/finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for various general ledger reconciliations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis with a high degree of focus on the revenue management process. Essential Job Functions: Daily bank activity reconciliations Accounting for various elements of revenue cycle ranging from invoice management to payment processing and collection efforts Understanding of customer contracts to ensure compliance during invoicing process Serve as primary contact with customers regarding invoicing and work collaboratively to resolve any discrepancies Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable sub-ledgers Supporting month-end and year-end close as necessary Assisting with initial internal control evaluations to determine areas of improvement Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required 4-7 years of experience in a similar function within a company Must be at least 18 years of age Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google or related software - Netsuite preferred Experience in the cargo industry is a plus Compensation - This is a salary/exempt role.
