The After School Youth Program Aide/School Chaperon (005) will be the responsible for ensuring the safe and timely aide of children from designated schools to the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club for afterschool programs. This position plays a key role in maintaining the safety, supervision, and well-being of children during their transition from school to the Club, while fostering a positive and supportive environment. Pinkerton Clubhouse (005) - Harlem, NY This is a part-time position working up to 15 hours a week Monday through Friday in the afternoon . Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the After School Youth Program Aide/School Chaperon (005) Position : Safely chaperon children from designated schools to Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, either by walking or utilizing approved transportation methods. Conduct headcounts and manage attendance before departure and upon arrival at the Club; to ensure all children are accounted for. Uphold safety standards and follow all protocols to ensure children's well-being during transportation. Maintain a calm, supportive, and engaging atmosphere during the Transitional process, addressing any behavioral concerns when needed. Communicate promptly with the Program Coordinator or Club Director regarding any issues, concerns, or incidents that occur during transition. Assist with afterschool program setup, cleanup, or general supervision when at the Club, if needed. Build positive, respectful relationships with children, parents, school staff, and fellow team members. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Required Skills/Knowledge for the After School Youth Program Aide/ School Chaperon (005) Position : High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience working with children or youth programs preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage and supervise children in a safe and orderly manner. Dependable, punctual, and able to handle transitions effectively. First aid and CPR certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain). A commitment to the mission and values of the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club.
