Citizens JMP is currently seeking a Vice President/Senior Associate, Real Estate (REITs) Investment Banking candidate. The ideal candidate possesses an established investment banking pedigree and skill set including capital structure advisory (debt & equity financing), strategic advisory (sell-side, buy-side, structured transactions) and other corporate finance and industry-specific financial analysis. This candidate will have experience working with biotechnology, pharmaceutical or medical technology companies. You would serve as a key resource in client discussions and presentations, alongside Citizens senior bankers, while participating in the origination and execution of debt, equity and M&A transactions. Primary responsibilities include Play a leadership role in transaction execution including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, follow-on public offerings, and other equity capital markets activities as well as debt capital markets offerings within the Life Science sector Develop relevant and actionable strategic and financing ideas, create thematic pitch content and analyze relevant industry trends in the delivery of presentations to existing and prospective clients Help establish and cultivate long-term relationships with key decision makers at the C-suite level within middle market and growth companies, VCs and financial sponsors Prepare and present marketing materials for financing and M&A clients and act as a quarterback in all phases of transaction execution with both clients and counterparties Attend and support conferences to bolster industry knowledge, establish new relationships and support existing client relationships Oversee financial modeling and due diligence activities that support analytical decision making Mentor and train analysts and associates Collaborate on cross-selling efforts with Citizens Commercial Bankers Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking and / or capital markets Preference for industry knowledge and transaction experience within Real Estate (REITs) verticals Proven capital markets and M&A experience with strong financial modeling and analysis skills 4 year degree from an accredited university; Master's degree preferred, but not required Series 79 & 63 licenses Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact with clients and internal decision makers Very strong quantitative and analytical skills Ability to manage projects independently and assume a high level of responsibility Hours & Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40 + Work Schedule: Monday to Friday Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
