Job Type Part-time Description Our Story Located in central and northern Pennsylvania, Juniata Valley Bank opened for business on August 5, 1867, well over 150 years ago! Bank Teller Details Employee Type : Part-time, Non-exempt Schedule : Hours vary depending on location. Schedules are completed one month in advance and communicated to staff. Minimum Starting Pay Rate : $15.51 per hour to start; pay will be commensurate with experience Pay Grade Range: $15.51 - $23.25 Annual Merit Increases: JVB employees receive an annual performance evaluation and a merit increase annually. Training: We are willing to train capable individuals with no bank teller experience. For full-time positions, PTO starts at 16 days (128 hours) per year and for part-time positions, PTO is based on the number of hours that are worked in a calendar year. The more you work, the more you get the following year! • Volunteer Time Off (VTO): VTO is given to all full-time and part-time employees also! JVB compensates full-time employees for one full day and part-time employees for half a day of work in order for them to volunteer at an organization of their choosing. • 401(k) Match: JVB offers a .50 match on the dollar up to 8%. Other Part-time Bank Tellers have chosen to post for back-office positions and forge a path there. The career opportunities in banking are endless! What does a Part-time Bank Teller do? The primary responsibility of a Bank Teller is to become knowledgeable about Bank products and services in order to provide exceptional service to our customers. These services include performing a variety of financial transactions and account-related requests, including most commonly processing account deposits and withdrawals. As individuals progress in their knowledge, they are also able to cross-sell products, open accounts, sell certificates of deposit, open IRA accounts, etc. Requirements Minimum Education Requirements: • High school diploma or GED Physical Demands and Sensory Abilities: • Familiarity with PCs and applicable software • Sufficient manual dexterity for operation of PC keyboard and other standard office equipment • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs • Ability to stand or sit for extended time periods
