Position Summary The Grant Manager will provide specialized accounting and financial support, working closely with project managers under the direction of the Vice President and CFO. This role focuses on managing financial transactions, analyzing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with grant regulations. You will oversee grant-related financial activities, monitor fiscal performance, and prepare detailed internal and external reports. This position requires strong technical expertise in grant accounting, fiscal analysis, and compliance across multiple funding sources, including federal, state, local, and foundation grants. You will work independently within established guidelines, and your contributions will be reviewed by the Controller for accuracy and thoroughness. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced grant accounting support for department and project managers. Monitor and analyze financial transactions for projects funded by various sources (federal, state, local, and private grants). Ensure fiscal compliance for subcontractors and sub-recipients with differing reporting periods. Track and reconcile revenues and expenditures by funding source and project, ensuring alignment with CADCA's financial records. Prepare and submit required financial reports to federal, state, and local agencies, as well as foundation grantors. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including funders and governmental agencies, to resolve financial issues and ensure compliance. Prepare grant close-outs and interim financial reports in compliance with grantor requirements. Manage complex billings, including preparing forecasts, projections, and cash flow analyses for grant programs. Oversee contract billing, verifying invoices for allowable costs and preparing monthly reimbursement requests. Maintain and enforce internal accounting controls, adhering to federal, state, and foundation regulations (e.g., 2 CFR Part 200, OMB Single Audit). Assist in developing and refining grant-related policies and systems, both internally and for subcontractor financial reporting. Perform electronic fund transfers and manage manual and online data entry for grant-related transactions. Utilize Microsoft Business Central and other software for processing invoices, reimbursement requests, and financial reporting. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices, with expertise in federal, state, and local grant compliance. Proficient in financial reporting software, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing programs. Ability to analyze complex accounting data, prepare clear financial reports, and make recommendations for process improvements. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments and with external stakeholders. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Minimum of four years of progressively responsible accounting experience, with at least two years in grant accounting.
