Leidos QTC Health Services is hiring a Data Architect Director. We have started a significant modernization effort in the way it builds software by moving away from monolithic applications towards microservices, automation, and cloud. As the Director of Data Architecture, you will help Leidos QTC Health Services on its transformation journey by leading a team of data professionals, working closely with business and IT, understanding the enterprise landscape and current challenges, designing innovative data and business intelligence solutions, and working with delivery teams to ensure proper implementation. You will also serve as a change agent, coach, mentor and facilitator within our company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, develop, coach, and manage a team of data professionals in modernizing Leidos QTC Health Service's data architecture Ensure timely delivery of high quality deliverables across multiple projects, providing supervision and guidance while empowering team members and load-balancing their work Engage with senior business stakeholders and translate business requirements into long-term data architecture vision, strategy, and roadmaps to best serve our growth goals and satisfy employees and customers data needs Lead the design of enterprise-class data solutions that are performant, scalable, secure, and resilient Lead the analysis and definition of data architecture frameworks, including reference data, metadata, master data, data modeling, SQL and No-SQL database design, data warehousing architecture, and business intelligence and analytics Ensure data quality across the enterprise, from applications to data warehouses/marts, to business reports and dashboards Create and deliver executive level presentations and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Create and communicate enterprise data principles, guidelines, standards, and reference architectures Promote the use of shared platforms and services Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and major vendors and proactively apply that to improve our data architecture Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Competencies: Strong experience leading data teams and modernization efforts Demonstrated track record in architecting, implementing and maintaining enterprise data solutions Solid knowledge in all major areas of data engineering and architecture: SQL and NoSQL DBs, data lakes/warehouses, ETL, master data mgmt., analytics, BI, and ML/AI Data modeling, mining, managing, warehousing, cleansing, visualization and reporting Data security, authentication/authorization, encryption, privacy, scalability, and resiliency AWS, SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps, and agile/scrum Knowledge of microservices, APIs, messaging, logging and monitoring, and integration is a plus Experience in vendor platform evaluations including criteria and scorecard development High attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational, and task management skills Strong leadership skills to include personnel management, collaboration, communication and presentation, ability to influence others, strategic thinking, and accountability Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline 14 to 20 years of progressive professional experience in data engineering and architecture 3 to 5 years of experience leading and managing data teams AWS certification highly desirable Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation Pay and Benefits: Salary range: $165,000 - $230,000 w/ up to 15% bonus eligibility Pay and benefits are fundamental to any career decision.
