Audio-Visual Onsite Technician

Overview We are seeking an Audio-Visual Onsite Technician who will be a critical member of a U.S.-based global systems integrator providing technology solutions and services for commercial and government clients. This is a full-time permanent role supporting one of our programs in Washington, DC . This position will provide installation, maintenance and emergency repair services for all audio-visual (AV) equipment for a government customer. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to : Provides customer support in defining and implementing the necessary solutions to customer problems with work-processes and tools which address those problems. The capacity to progressively link, test, and modify as necessary the customer's system and service components that interface with the equipment and services and support systems provided by contractors and other customers and merge their respective functional characteristics into comprehensive, interoperable systems. Required Skills and Qualifications Possess 1-2 years of audiovisual, IT, and broadcasting systems knowledge Relevant experience as an on-site support technician, front-line help desk technician, or field technician Familiar with Crestron/AMX control systems as well as Polycom VTC platforms Must be available for travel as needed Must have reliable transportation for daily work, direct reporting in Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia metro area Experience with audiovisual system setup and troubleshooting Device installation Manufacturer training such as Extron, Crestron, Biamp, Polycom, Cisco - a plus Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent customer service skills Ability to lift 75lbs Troubleshooting skills General computer skills Education / Certifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university Work Authorization Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance Background & Drug Screening Conditions Must pass a criminal background investigation Must pass a 4-panel Drug Test Additional Perks/Benefits Paid Time Off & Holidays 401K with Company Matching Tuition & Training Reimbursement Birthday off with pay Leadership Development Training Venture Talent Consulting is an AA/EOE/M/F/Disabled/VET Employer committed to providing equal employment opportunity without regard to an individual's race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, veteran status, national origin, or disability.
