About the Role As a Global Account Manager (GAM) - Diesel, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a plan of growth (POG) that achieves maximum market share for Watlow products and services. This role works at multiple levels in the customer's organization including the executive level and coordinates multi-channel and global community covering the full extent of the customer including parent, children, subsidiaries, and supply chain. This role is primarily outward looking and is focused on understanding the customer's needs, available opportunities for Watlow and strategic decision-making process. The preferred work location is IA, IL, or MO. Your Key Responsibilities Develops key relations within the customer organization, specifically at the executive or strategic levels. Represents one face to Watlow for customer and acts as customer champion across Watlow delivery value streams. Owns all aspects of account strategy development via the strategic account plan. Leverages the customer focus team to implement the operating system, project management, quality & reliability, cost delivery, customer scorecard and pricing strategies Contract negotiation and management facilitation Participates in Voice of Customer (VOC) and new product development initiatives. Works with the customer focus team to develop and implement price strategies for account. Provides high level customer and market inputs to develop forecasting data at most detailed level available for sales, operation, finance and planning process. Attends customer performance reviews with effected internal Watlow teams. Manages customer supplier performance reviews and participates in periodic business reviews. Ensures the alignment of Watlow's Strategies with those of the customer. Establishes overall revenue growth goals and path to achieve them. Orchestrates internal global coverage for customer, including coordination of all other roles related to the strategic account plan. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering (or technical field) Minimum of 10+ years of experience in sales/business development Proven growth results with large OEM customers Technical sales experience Project management experience is a plus Leadership experience Desired Qualifications Experience in building executive to senior level customer relationships Excellent written and oral customer-facing communication and presentation skills Ability to handle multiple projects of varying size and scope. Thorough attention to detail and documentation. Proactive team player with a desire to build effective working relationships. Lean training and experience is a plus Willing to travel up to 50%. Travel would be to customer offices and manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and Asia, and trips to Watlow global manufacturing sites as determined by the operating system.
