Job Scope The Sr. Manager, Field Operations Improvement - Commercial Excellence will lead transformational projects, including automating order management and field inventory processes, deploying EDI, and setting up local surgery set distribution operations. This role will develop solutions, lead their delivery, and provide ongoing support. Responsibilities include process optimization and growth enablement through data analysis, problem-solving, and managing complex technical improvements for commercial and field inventory operations. This role will partner with sales, finance, IT, and commercial operations to drive success. Duties/Responsibilities Manage the roadmap for Commercial Operations improvements, including automation and system deployment projects. Provide technical leadership for field inventory and order management processes, using data analysis, problem-solving, and project management best practices. Collaborate with sales and commercial operations to design and standardize inventory and order management processes. Deploy inventory management tools across the sales network to optimize field inventory use. Lead continuous improvement projects using lean principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality and operational issues. Lead cross-departmental project teams, mentoring engineers and technicians. Manage complex projects, including creating and maintaining project plans, budgets, and schedules. Present project status, risks, and issues to executive-level steering committees. Oversee project scope through effective change management processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in revenue operations (field inventory, logistics, warehousing, customer service, order management), including leadership experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in the medical device industry, ideally in a consigned inventory model. Proficiency in enterprise systems (ERP, WMS, TMS), with a preference for SAP S/4HANA. Strong data analytics skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel (BI tools are a plus). Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Toyota). Experience implementing process improvements through the PDCA lifecycle. Proven success leading cross-functional teams to deliver operational improvements.
