Financial Controller - Spring Valley NY $1250,000 - $175,000 We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Controller with a background in financial management for Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, budgeting, reporting, and compliance for our SNF group. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in healthcare finance, particularly in the skilled nursing sector, with the ability to manage multiple facility budgets, drive financial efficiencies, and support strategic decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: Financial Oversight : Oversee all aspects of financial operations for the SNF group, including financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Budget Management : Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for multiple facilities, ensuring accuracy in expense reporting and adherence to budgetary goals. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations, particularly those related to Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, as well as any state-specific financial reporting requirements for SNFs. Reimbursement Optimization : Work closely with billing and revenue cycle teams to maximize reimbursements and improve cash flow, with a focus on Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing. Financial Analysis : Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify areas of improvement, operational efficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities, and present findings to executive leadership. Audit Preparation and Support : Oversee internal audits, prepare financial documentation, and collaborate with external auditors to maintain transparency and regulatory compliance. Reporting and KPIs : Prepare financial statements, monthly reports, and performance metrics; analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specific to the SNF industry and provide actionable insights. Team Leadership : Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations, budgeting processes, and adherence to best practices in healthcare financial management. Strategic Planning : Partner with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, expansions, and acquisition plans, providing data-driven insights to guide decision-making. Qualifications: Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred. Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller role specifically within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care group. Knowledge : Strong understanding of SNF reimbursement, cost reporting, and Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Technical Skills : Proficiency in financial management software, accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct), and advanced Excel skills. Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and create strategies for financial improvement. Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to executive and non-financial stakeholders. Leadership : Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development, collaboration, and process improvement. This is a full time in person position
