Registered Nurse - Recovery Care Center (RCC)

5 North Recovery Care center is a 36 bed unit that admits elective and add-on patients for same day surgery for inpatient and the Recovery Care Center. Short stay post-op patients consist of a variety of specialties, including General Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT. GU, GYN, Neuro/ Spine, Orthopedics, and Plastics. A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital. This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties. Education/Experience Requirements Required: Graduate of an accredited associate degree *Must pass NCLEX within 120 days. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program or higher degree *Bachelor's degree required within 8 years of being hired or those licensed after 2017. Licensure/Certification Requirements Required: Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred: Certification in a specialty area.
