As a Senior Accountant, you must be an enthusiastic individual ready to assist in conducting month end closes for small and medium-sized companies in a variety of industries. You will evaluate and test financial transactions for proper financial reporting, compliance with policies and be in contact daily with clients. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels, including the high-level management at our clients. Competencies and Position Requirements Supports the client onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition and excellent customer experience Assists with the preparation and review of the month end close process Supports multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis Develops and manages clients' budgets, anticipating and communicating budget issues as they arise Oversees staff and manages the accounting function for smaller clients Completes detailed account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals) Completes complex account reconciliations (investments, debt, industry specific, etc.) Prepares and reviews financial reports (basic to complex) Performs the review of clients' General Ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc. Learns and understands the business/organization operations of the client Creates process and procedure documentation Assists in special projects, such as internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consulting projects Education and Experience Two or more years of relative work experience as Staff Accountant or equivalent in a Client Accounting & Advisory Department (CAAS) Bachelor's degree in accounting Technical knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Intacct, Xero, , Expensify) and other applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Public Accounting experience preferred CPA certification preferred Work Environment Occasional regional client visits Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs Hybrid work option Supportive and collaborative culture BNN strongly believes in maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.
