ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a dynamic Corporate Assistant Controller to join our finance team and who will be a key partner in the Accounting Leadership Team, involved in all financial aspects of a growing multi-company firm of 1300+ employees. This competent professional will collaborate with a team responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, providing expertise, and be a forward-thinking visionary related to the firm's financial position. This role will include exposure to senior leadership throughout the firm, including the Board of Directors, while building trusting relationships across the firm. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO Key member of the Accounting Leadership Team, reporting to the Corporate Controller. Responsible for Facilities Operations Services (FOS) service line, working directly with FOS President to optimize top-line and bottom-line results by establishing procedures and related financial tools to grow this practice. Ability to explain complex financial information to non-accounting colleagues. Proactively communicate to various roles and levels within the firm, including firm leadership. Direct Team Leads who supervise the day-to-day accounting operations, responsible for the activities of the general ledger and project accounting processes. Own and direct all audit and tax processes, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the annual budget, and financial forecasts. Keep current and provide advice on new accounting rules according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulations and tax rulings. Establish, implement and maintain financial accounting controls and procedures. Oversee the cash management process including adherence to bank covenants. Partner and administer activities related to company stock. Experience with due diligence and business combination accounting a plus. Be a mentor to others, promoting exceptional teamwork and high quality of work produced from the department. HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED BS/BA in Accounting or MBA with a minimum of 10 years related public and private experience. CPA preferred with prior management and controller experience required. Experience in a professional service firm, with architectural and engineering industry background a strong plus. Thorough knowledge of GAAP, federal and multiple state tax corporate rules required. Experience in leading and building strong teams providing excellent results. Must have strong computer skills and be highly proficient in Microsoft office products. Data integration and Power BI experience a strong plus. Knowledge in Deltek Vision or Deltek VantagePoint preferred. The salary range for this position is $129,960 to $162,450 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
