Machine Builder

Job Title: Machine Builder Location: Darien, IL Job Type and Duration: Direct Hire Pay rate: 25-30/HR As a Machine Builder, you will play a crucial role in completing the assembly of our equipment, both in-house and at local fabricators. This position requires hands-on expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to manage small teams and work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Description: Assemble, debug, and modify custom industrial machinery, which may include light mechanical fabrication (machining, welding, painting, and wiring). Inspect finished parts and machines to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, making any necessary adjustments or modifications as needed. Responsible for organizing materials, workspace, and work sequence in the most efficient manner for machine builds. Maintain accurate records of work, including project progress, materials used, and any modifications made to the equipment. Some local and overnight travel may be required as part of your role, possibly for on-site installations or collaboration with clients and suppliers. Requirements: Proven experience in machine fabrication and assembly of custom industrial machinery. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in machine building and fabrication. Strong attention to detail, precision, and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with engineers and colleagues.
