Department Human Resources Campus Location Escanaba Min Salary $51,698 Max Salary $64,622 FTE 1.0 Full-time/Part-time Full-Time Position Type Staff Job Summary/Basic Function The Manager of People and Organizational Effectiveness plays a pivotal role in enhancing Bay College's organizational culture and ensures professional growth and development of its employees. This position will be responsible to design, implement, and evaluate training programs that align with the College's goals and employee needs. It will develop initiatives and activities that promote a positive and inclusive organizational culture. This position will communicate and collaborate with all department leaders and employees. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, Psychology, or a related field. 2 years' experience of related work experience. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. High technical aptitude. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic work environment with multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods. Strong understanding of organizational behavior, change management principles, and leadership development practices. Certification in training and development (CPLP) or equivalent. Job Duties Job Duty Training and Development: Research, design, implement, and evaluate training programs that align with Bay College's mission and goals and employee needs. Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities. Create curriculum and training materials that educate employees on DEIB principles (ex: unconscious bias, cultural competence, and inclusive leadership). Coordinate and deliver trainings sessions, workshops, and seminars (in-person and virtual). Monitor, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Prepares and manages the training budget, ensuring efficient use of resources. Job Duty Employee Development: Collaborate with department leadership and Human Resources personnel to establish targeted development plans for employees. Utilize best practices in adult learning principles and instructional design to create engaging and impactful learning experiences. Provide coaching and mentoring to employees at various levels to support career growth. Facilitate leadership development programs. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Job Duty Culture Enhancement: Develop activities and strategies that promote a positive and inclusive work environment. Plan and execute employee engagement programs (ex: mentorship, ERG, wellness) team building activities, and employee events. Recommend and implement rewards programs that fosters a culture of appreciation. Implement strategies to enhance employee satisfaction, retention and engagement. Job Duty Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure training and development initiatives are aligned with the College's key performance indicators and employee needs. Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to promote understanding and engagement in training and culture initiatives. Act as a resource and point of contact for employees seeking guidance on training and organization development matters. Serve as an advisor to leadership organizational effectiveness strategies.
