JOB PURPOSE To support budget analysts in ensuring the integrity of accounting information by monitoring spending levels and facilitate timely close-out of grants. Participate in regular budget reviews with budget analyst and program staff to effectively manage financial activities of each grant and program to ensure that all activities fall within funder and agency guidelines. Incorporate accounting principles, develop and maintain practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This is a hybrid role which requires three days working on site and two days working remotely. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Financial Planning and Reporting Assist budget analysts in regular budget review of programs Assist in the billing of funder grants and preparation of monthly financial statements, variance reports Assist in reconciliation and performance of grant closeout functions required by government and foundation contract administration as well as sponsors. Assist budget analysts to enter the approved budgets into Intacct (accounting software) as well as ensure proper allocation of grant related costs Prepare ad-hoc reports for budget analysts JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Senior in college pursuing an Accounting degree required, CPA Program a plus High proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and Intacct (a plus) Outstanding written and oral communications skills Highly organized with strong attention to details and an eye for developing efficient, internal systems and workflow Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in order to meet deadlines, detail oriented and extremely organized.
