Position Overview: Edgesource is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Software Engineer supporting our government Sponsor. The person in this position will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing a variety of systems. Our team is currently focused on the containerization of a large Service Bus architecture, and your expertise will contribute to the success of our mission-critical systemsto join our existing team to assist with day to day company operations as well as provide project management support for a variety of government contracts. This position is located in the Chantilly, VA area requiring that all job duties be performed onsite full-time. Job Duties: Participate in the development of a Microservices-based, Cloud Agnostic, System Architecture Develop user stories, participate in daily Stand-Ups, bi-weekly Sprint Planning and quarterly Planning Increment Events Develop software, unit tests and installation procedures in a variety of languages based on tasking Work with the test team to develop Integration Test Plans Provide Tier 3 Support (business hours only) for an existing Mission System Required Qualifications: Active TS//SCI Clearance. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, System Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Strong experience with JIRA for test case management and defect tracking. Experience in software testing, with a focus on testing cloud-based platforms. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab. Security+ certified or willing to obtain prior to hire (certification costs reimbursed) AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Azure Fundamentals certified or willing to obtain prior to hire (certification costs reimbursed) Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED): Must possess a TS/SCI with polygraph level security clearance Bachelor's degree in a related field and 11+ years of relevant work experience OR 15+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree Software development experience with C# (.Net Framework, .Net Core) Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript Relational Databases such as SqlServer and PostgreSql Python skills preferred Experience with containerization preferred Working at Edgesource: As an ISO 9001:2015 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised small business, Edgesource specializes in providing a variety of technical solutions to include software development, database services, enterprise networking, data center virtualization, and management support.
