The Somerset Patriots, the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, are seeking a full-time Broadcast Production Intern to lead the team's MiLB.tv broadcast and in-house TV production for the 2025 season. Time Frame/Work Schedule: (April 2025 - September 2025): The 2025 season begins in early April, with the first home game scheduled for Tuesday, April 8th. The ideal candidate will have availability to start work during the first week of April and have all elements of the broadcast ready for the start of the season. Hours are full-time. Interns are required to work the same amount of days and hours as the full-time Front Office Staff.There are 69 home games and regular non-game day office hours that you will be required to work.This includes nights, weekends and holidays. About the Broadcast: All Somerset Patriots home games are video-streamed live , as well as on the Bally Live app. The broadcast is a five-camera (Sony HXR-NX5R) production: high home, center field PTZ camera, 1st base, 3rd base, wireless) with additional control room positions that include graphics, replay and director, as well as two play-by-play commentators. Primary software used includes Daktronics LiveClips and Newtek broadcast software (Tricaster TC1, NC1 IO Studio Module, Tricaster TC1 Replay) . Experience in the Adobe media suite is a plus. All games are simulcast to terrestrial radio on Fox Sports New Jersey - 93.5 FM, 1450 AM. Each broadcast begins with a 15-minute pregame show that lasts two segments, including various graphics and video packages that play on a daily basis. Each broadcast ends with a one-segment postgame show. Select games are broadcast on the YES Network. Broadcast Production Internship (1 Position Available): The Broadcast Production Intern will take ownership of every home game broadcast of the 2024 season, serving as the technical director for all games. Strong knowledge of team trends and storylines will be required to prepare graphics and highlights packages that are distinct to each home game broadcast. Experience working with the following equipment and software is not required, but strongly preferred: Daktronics LiveClips, Newtek broadcast software (Tricaster TC1, NC1 IO Studio Module, Tricaster TC1 Replay) and Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and AfterEffects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working in live broadcast production long term. This person will need to feel comfortable taking control of the entire broadcast with a keen vision for graphics and storylines that will be injected into each broadcast. Note: this is not an on air position. Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Preparing graphics on a daily basis that are specific to each game's distinct storylines, using Daktronics LiveClips, as well as Adobe Photoshop or AfterEffects, if applicable. Cutting together clips from previous games on TC1 Replay machine and archiving melts in media drive. While the team is on the road, preparing graphics and highlight packages to use during the upcoming home stand. Creating commercial break slides that promote upcoming promotions, giveaways and events at the Ballpark. Clipping in-game interviews and other activations for sponsorship proof of performance. Scheduling MiLB.tv production crew for every home stand. Versatility and willingness to fill in at any necessary production position (director, graphics, replay, camera). Compensation: $250 per week stipend and college credit can also be earned if applicable to the student. Please Note: Candidates MUST live within commuting distance or have housing in the Bridgewater area for the entire summer.
