General Summary of Position Under supervision, maintains distributes clean linen to assigned areas, ensuring linen is available when required. Minimum Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Preferred Experience 1-2 years Experience Preferred Experience in medical, hospital or institutional experience preferred Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Ability to operate various power and manual equipment (such as floor machines etc.) Primary Duties and Responsibilities Linen Duties: Ensures linen is available to all assigned areas. Delivers clean linen to units and departments,stocks linen based on par levels, cleans linen delivery carts when required, records delivery time and quantity of linen delivered, enters delivery information into software. removes soiled linen from units / departments and records time and location orders linen from laundry on a daily basis, completes paperwork on a daily basis and assist EVS team members as needed Customer Service: Provides services to department staff as needed. Approach, greet and offer assistance and direction to patients, family members, physicians and others who may need help in finding their way, responds promptly to department linen needs and requests and meets commitments and follows through on requests. Development: Participates with director in identifying learning needs. When learning needs are identified, participates in training and development activities, attends hospital sponsored training programs as required by the department, and meets all mandatory obligations. Organizational knowledge: Works effectively within and between departments. Participates in departmental projects, participates in interdepartmental activities when asked and demonstrates a constructive approach during all interactions with staff, supervisors, and managers both inside and outside the unit.
