Light Steering Technologies, Inc engineers and manufactures groundbreaking Pointing, Scanning, and Line-of-Sight Stabilization Payload Systems. Our patented technology redefines the standard for large aperture scanning performance while also improving size, weight, and power (SWaP). Essential Job Functions The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will perform the following: · Support proposal efforts in the estimation, planning, and drafting requirements for the software system(s) development. · Draft and review software requirements from system requirements. · Develop, debug, unit test, and integrate embedded C/C++ code for the real-time control of the LST Software Core · Design and debug a Windows GUI application to monitor, control, and command the LST Software Core running on the embedded device. · Maintain ownership and admin for all software repositories. · Cut and release new versions for the code quarterly. · Architect solutions against requirements and implement those solutions in various FPGA, Processor, and Digital Signal Processor technologies or platforms. · Follow, enforce, and refine consistent firmware / software development processes across the digital designs. · Define and perform prototyping and characterization experiments. · Develop test fixtures and demo systems for lab and customer use cases. Minimum Qualifications · Experience building bare-metal embedded C/C++ software applications. · Familiarity with designing, implementing, and documenting application programming interfaces (APIs). · Experience building customer facing GUI applications. · Working knowledge of Git and repo management. · Experience writing and running unit tests. · Hands-on execution of product integration and verification testing and debug · Experienced with real-time implementations. · BS Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science. · 3+ years of experience. · US Citizenship and the ability to obtain Secret or Top-Secret security clearance is required. Preferred Additional Skills · Familiarity with RTOS and Petalinux is highly desirable. Flexible work from home options available.
