The client Location: Open to remote, but since it could convert it has to be where one of the client offices are. Ideally LA, SF, or NY. Associate, Finance & Strategy (Deal Desk) The Finance & Strategy team accelerates the growth of our business by implementing new opportunities and solutions. We partner with teams across the company to improve the profitability, scalability, and defensibility of our business model. We're looking to hire strategic thinkers who can model the future, solve complex problems, and collaborate effectively to help carry projects from conception through execution. Job Role You will partner with teams across *** to support financial decisions and develop sustainable growth strategies for the U.S. merchants in restaurants and new verticals. The right candidate will possess strong financial, analytical, and communication skills to influence data-driven business decisions. On any given day, you can expect to: 1) Support the deal flow approvals process by reviewing submissions for policy requirements and work with sales, strategy & operations and finance to correct 2) Support deal desk teams across all verticals and lines of businesses to create deal financial models 3) Support the development of decision support materials by producing analytics spanning merchant comparables, our portfolio's performance, and market intelligence 4) Maintain and update SQL queries to support deal models and analytics You're excited about this opportunity because you will... Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement new processes and frameworks for investment decisions Work to increase our approach to balancing growth vs. profitability Analyze business/financial measurements, uncover trends and assess current / future business risks and opportunities Operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that is constantly evolving Requirements: 3+ years of strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking experience in a high-growth technology sector Ability to work with cross-functional partners at all levels of an organization Highly skilled at synthesizing business insights and problem solving Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills. Build financial models used to size opportunities and build business cases for pursuing new programs Basic SQL proficiency (or willingness to learn).
