RN, Hospice On-Call Nurse

Description $10,000.00 sign on bonus. Full time position with our Hospice team to cover the Gardner service area. On call Sundays 4pm to 7:30am. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 4:30pm to 7:30am. This position is responsible to provide on-call services to Care Central VNA patients/clients during the hours that the agency is closed. All calls received by the answering service after hours will be forwarded to the On-Call nurse for triage. Commitment, self-directed, quality of care, dependability, exceptional organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work within a team are primary requirements for this position. Accessible by phone and available to make an emergency and unscheduled/ PRN nursing visit at any time during on call hours. Requirements Must be a Registered Nurse with a current valid unencumbered license to practice in the state of Community health/hospice experience Willingness and/or ability to manage all aspects of terminal care with specific expertise in crisis intervention, family counseling, pain and symptom control and beside Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable, registered Basic knowledge of computer use, adequate typing and spelling Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English Ability to execute a supportive, sensitive approach to peers, patients and families.
