It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincents is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network and is the systems second-largest hospital. Job Summary: The Coordinator Development plans and implements a comprehensive program attracting new and renewing long-standing donors through direct mail, email, digital, and volunteer driven solicitations. Additionally, the Coordinator supports department events and performs administrative work for the team. Reports to the Associate Director, Special Events and Communications. Responsibilities: Plan and implement annual direct mail and colleague giving strategy for the Fairfield Region. Support fundraising special events by managing volunteers, communications, raffles and auctions, and event programs at the direction of the Associate Director. Support department administrative needs including gift processing, creating purchase orders (POs) and requisitions, submitting and tracking invoices in People Soft, acknowledgements, and other donor & stewardship communications. Administer third party fundraisers and other volunteer led efforts. Develop and maintain relationships with individuals and local businesses, soliciting them for gifts of $1,000 and above, including in-kind gifts. Scheduling grateful patient recognition ceremonies at director of major gift officers in the Fairfield Region to support building a culture of philanthropy. Check on brochure supplies monthly in each department and floor units at the Medical Center as well as at the Medical Group offices. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associates degree or equivalent experience. Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, business administration or related field preferred. Experience: 3 to 5 years of development or comparable business experience. Digital marketing experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PP, etc.). Experience managing projects. Peoplesoft a definite plus. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements Competency in Microsoft Office software. Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve goals. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a wide range of individuals. Excellent communication skills. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
