Data, Evaluation and Technology Specialist The University of Pittsburgh's School of Public Health, Department of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology has a long and distinguished history as a leader in graduate education, transformative research, implementation science, and education in infectious diseases. Job Summary Executes protocol-related research procedures, activities, outreach, and education. Manages a complex program or study or multiple programs and studies. Collects and analyzes data and complies with all policies and regulations. Recommends improvements to policy and procedure. Essential Functions Responsible to the design and implementation of distance based education and consultation technology for federal and state funded grants and contracts. Designs and maintains organizational websites consisting of multi-media educational pages for the public, electronic registration for education programs, electronic evaluation, and password protected informational and interactive pages for program investigators, faculty and staff. The incumbent will be responsible to design, develop, and maintain the organization's websites on a day-to-day basis on various web sites, setting company standards for design, performing navigation and browser compatibility, and to develop and maintain small web applications. The individual will be responsible to schedule, implement, conduct and record web-based meetings, conferences, webinars and webcasts for the public and for multi-institutional work-meetings. This individual will provide technical assistance to faculty, staff, and collaborators both within and outside the University of Pittsburgh. The incumbent will be in charge of organizational marketing including mailing list/email list development and maintenance, development of program flyers, brochures, reports, monographs, geomapping, and other marketing materials. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance of information related to grant applications, reports, presentations, and publications. Required to have good written and oral communication skills. Must be able to work on a team and with persons of many different levels of technological experience and skills. Must be able to work on several different projects simultaneously. Must be organized and diligent in follow through on projects and initiatives. Must have skills in website development, distance technologies, and emerging educational technologies. This individual may supervise others at the Pittsburgh site of the MAAETC upon delegation by the PI. The individual is responsible to implement deliverables for grants and contracts and travel throughout the region and in meeting the goals and scope of work. The project coordinator may also be assigned to attend committees, meetings, and other duties required for these grant and cooperative agreements as assigned by the PI. The DBTWMC reports directly to the Principal Investigator/Executive Director. Supervision may also occur from the Assistant Director of the MAAETC as assigned by the PI. Physical Effort Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and attend meetings on and off campus.
