Job Description Become a Human Resource Manager at BJK People's Health Centers in an exciting time of growth! Betty Jean Kerr People's Health Centers (PHC), founded in 1972, has been in the forefront in the provision of quality health care to the St. Louis metropolitan area for over 40 years. PHC, through its mission, provides comprehensive primary healthcare, such as pediatrics, internal medicine, OB/GYN, dental, WIC, mammography, behavioral health, pharmacy, radiology, podiatry and laboratory services, to meet the health needs of the entire community. With its three (3) conveniently located health centers, and its friendly and welcoming staff, PHC aspires to serve all the health and wellness needs of the entire family. Summary: Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee benefit elections. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-employee orientations; assists with writing and placing advertisements. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary. Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees. Develops and maintains FMLA, Unemployment and other records, reports, and logs to conform to regulations. Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and employee personnel listings. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Education and/or Experience: A bachelor's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience, or a master' degree in Human Resources Management and two (2) years of experience in the HR field, or seven (7) years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
