The Marketing Department of Arnold & Porter has an opening for a Marketing Database Assistant in the firm's Washington, DC or New York office. The Marketing Database Assistant plays an important role in the continued success of the firm's experience/knowledge management platform (Litera's Foundation Software). This position ensures that the Marketing and Business Development (BD) teams have complete, up-to-date experience and other types of data important for marketing and business development projects. The Assistant is also responsible for engaging with BD team members on their data needs and providing feedback for improvements.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assisting the Director of Marketing Operations and Technology and the Marketing Technology Analyst with data entry into an industry-leading experience database platform, experience data and other types of data for migration into Foundation, including identifying data quality issues.Developing and recommending data options, processes, and fields related the communicating with database stakeholders about data needs.Acting as a key data entry resource for the BD team.Working in partnership with BD team members to create and update tailored experience lists to be used in pitches and marketing Chambers and Legal 500 submissions, extracting experience descriptions and other data items for use in Foundation. Assisting with other technology and operations projects, as needed, possibly relating to areas such as emarketing, CRM, website, and metrics.Qualifications: Two-year college degree or equivalent experience.Prior administrative and/or data entry experience.Ability to type a minimum of 50 wpm.Working knowledge of MS Office and experience working with attitude, commitment to client service and strong organizational skills.Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and oral.Highly motivated and self-directed, including the ability to work independently, to take a leading role on assigned projects, and to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy of work product, and meeting deadlines.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.Possess reliability, dependability, and organization and communications skills, both oral and written.A strong attention to detail.Ability to review large data sets.Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.The anticipated base salary for this position is $50,000 to $55,000.
