Job Summary: The Specification Sales Manager is responsible for the overall relationship management of Customers and Sales Reps in the specified territory, and developing and implementing strategic plans to meet sales goals and increase market share while identifying and exceeding customer expectations. Additionally, the Regional Sales Manager holds a pivotal role in collecting and analyzing market, competitor research and data analysis to inform and drive growth opportunities. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic sales plans that achieve sales targets. Manage and drive performance of external Sales Reps in specified territory. Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to achieve increased sales. Closely coordinate with the Inside Business Development Team and the Outside Independent Sales Rep Force to drive growth objectives. Develop and implement monthly strategic plans for the achievement of sales targets within the assigned territory. Manage Sales Reps in the specified region to develop new business and increase overall sales. Train and develop Independent Sales Reps, ensuring Reps dedicate sufficient time to the designated product line with the objective to increase sales. Identify customer concerns and issues within the designated territory and collaborate with internal resources to achieve timely resolution. Collaborate closely with Sales Reps and internal teams drive promotional activities to achieve sales targets. Develop creative programs to achieve sales targets with focus on budget requirements to maintain profitability. Drive and evaluate the performance of each independent sales representative group and provide make recommendations for hiring/termination as needed. Conduct in field market research to analyze market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to identify and present opportunities for growth through new product recommendations, ideas including target market, necessary listings, suggested price points and anticipated sales forecasts. Own the account maintenance process, closely collaborating with internal departments that include Credit/Collections and Returns to resolve issues as needed. Manage accounts within approved expense, returns and discount budgets requirements. Requirements: Minimum 5+ years of Sales leadership experience with a proven track record of success in managing an independent sales force within the Lighting industry. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related professional experience. Proven strategic planning and execution skills in a fast paced, challenging selling environment. Proven history of being self-directed, with the ability to achieve results independently. Ability and willingness for up to 80% travel within the assigned territory. Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion. Residing within the designated territory is a plus. The expected salary is $120,000-130,000 per year. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors allowed by law.
