Mortgage Loan Officer Job Summary A mortgage loan officer guides mortgage applicants and borrowers through the mortgage approval process, from preparing the loan application through closing. MLOs are licensed by state and national authorities, and they're knowledgeable about all the different types of mortgages. Primary Location/Schedule: 1650 E Battlefield Suite 200, Springfield MO 65804 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday; overtime and weekends based on loan volume Fulltime: 40 hours per week average Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred One to three years of prior experience in lending or related field preferred Required Skills : Excellent customer service and strong communication skills Strong mathematical, problem-solving and computer skills Basic knowledge of banking operations, documentation, policy and procedures Effective multi-tasking and organizational skills Thorough understanding of Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Veterans Affairs (VA), Federal National Mortgage (Fannie Mae), and other types of construction and conventional loans.
