A DAY IN THE LIFE: As a Contracts Specialist IV, you will oversee all contract activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws. In this hands-on role within a dynamic and fast-growing environment, you will interact with various departments, particularly the Business Development and Executive Teams. Your primary focus will be on leading contract negotiations that secure favorable terms for the company, balancing company exposure with timely results. Contract Management: Draft, negotiate, administer, and manage contracts, ensuring clear terms that align with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Provide contractual interpretation and guidance to the internal program management team, senior leadership, and engineers. Document Maintenance: Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained. Advisory Role: Provide advice and guidance to different teams regarding contract generation, interpretation, and compliance. Customer Relations: Build and maintain excellent working relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met. Multi-tasking and Prioritization: Effectively communicate at all levels within the organization while multi-tasking and prioritizing work activities in a fast-paced environment. Process Development: Develop, implement, and enforce core contract management processes for the request, execution, and performance of agreements. Regulatory Awareness: Maintain an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on contracts, including export considerations, DFAR & FAR. Export Issues Management: Assist in identifying export issues, develop solutions, and provide guidance on resolving issues to support business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve and draft original language for standard templates, standard work, and internal policies and procedures. YOU'RE AWESOME AT: Legal Expertise: Strong understanding of contracts, governance, contractual language, and the contract lifecycle. Communication Skills: Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills that foster collaboration. Detail Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in contract documentation and negotiations. Leadership: Proven management and leadership skills for directing staff and fostering team dynamics. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, and EAR regulations, ensuring compliance in all contractual matters. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify export issues, develop solutions, and provide guidance while supporting business objectives. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) is required; Juris Doctorate (JD) is strongly preferred. 5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, or equivalent experience as a transactional corporate attorney at a law firm. Corporate experience required, with a preference for experience in small to mid-sized companies. Previous aerospace industry experience preferred. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting base pay range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, Innoflight offers a competitive compensation package that includes Profit-Sharing Bonus, Cash Performance Bonus, and a robust benefits package.
