It's up to you to make it happen. Bloomberg is looking for an experienced editor to join the leadership team at Bloomberg Pursuits, which sits at the intersection of lifestyle, luxury and business. This editor will have a strong hand in shaping the full range of our coverage of food and drinks, travel, fashion, cars, watches and jewelry, fitness, the arts and real estate. They will assign and edit stories for our digital platforms as well as the Pursuits section of the monthly print edition of Bloomberg Businessweek. The Pursuits team is a global squad of experts in the lifestyle fields, and the editor will work with them and the broader newsroom to break news, hone storytelling, and develop unique and surprising packaging. They will edit between 5 and 10 pages in each issue of the magazine, and one or two web stories a day. This content will range from longform first-person narrative features to short breaking news items to service guides to best-of listicles. The successful candidate is a self-starter who enjoys having a lot of freedom to brainstorm, assign, and develop story ideas. Since the team works at both a daily and a monthly cadence (plus weekly newsletters), the editor must be flexible and energetic, with strong organizational skills and great attention to detail. We're looking for someone with proven skills as a story doctor and newsroom diplomat.
