Overview : The Squires Group is staffing for an upcoming initiative and is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Support Manager . The IT Infrastructure Manager plays a critical role in supporting the operations of the Refugee Processing Center (RPC) project, which is integral to the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) managed by the Department of State. This role requires overseeing and optimizing IT infrastructure to ensure the efficient processing and resettlement of refugees seeking admission to the United States. Candidates must be located in the Washington, DC Metro Area. Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be US Citizens with an Active Secret Clearance. Responsibilities : Support the Project Manager (PM) and Deputy Project Manager (DPM) in executing the RPC project, maintaining close collaboration and alignment with project goals. Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with RPC leadership, ensuring effective communication and timely escalation of IT operations and application development issues. Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure team, overseeing day-to-day activities, providing mentorship, and ensuring optimal performance and delivery. Develop and implement strategies to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficiency of information systems supporting core organizational functions. Manage both on-premises and cloud-based IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and related technologies, to support operational excellence and scalability. Establish and enforce IT policies and procedures related to architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision. Collaborate with the information security team to implement and monitor infrastructure security controls effectively. Drive operational efficiencies through automation and continuous improvement initiatives, keeping abreast of current technology trends. Provide technical guidance and leadership in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets for IT-related activities. Coordinate and manage infrastructure-related projects, ensuring effective stakeholder management, communication, and successful project outcomes. Serve as the primary client liaison for technical solutions, participating in customer meetings and engaging with stakeholders to address technical requirements. Qualifications : Bachelors Degree in a related technical or business discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Professional certification such as PMP or ITIL Expert. Minimum of 12 years of professional experience supporting and managing complex IT projects, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience leading large, diverse project teams. Strong background in IT infrastructure services and development, with at least 10 years of hands-on experience. Experience managing hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud platforms), with 2-5 years specifically in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or private cloud). Proficiency in Agile methodologies, particularly in leading projects using the Scrum framework. Knowledge of cloud services and technologies, particularly AWS, preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience within federal agencies, particularly with the Department of State.
