Accountant

Big Win : A servant leader who implements, supports and enhances the Financial System. The Accountant serves under the Finance Supervisor on the Central Support Team. A part time position, the schedule is generally Monday-Friday for a total of 20 hours per week. This position is classified as non-exempt under the FLSA. Responsibilities Supports a full accounting system in the areas of general and subsidiary ledgers, banking, and credit card expense reporting Directs and supports staff using expense reporting system Provides support for Finance Coordinator in the counting of Sunday offering and the donor management system Supports the Finance Supervisor on an as needed basis Qualifications Education - Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting, or equivalent experience Experience - 3- 5 years prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping Technical Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Sage INTACCT accounting software and Google Docs Communication - Excellent oral and written communication skills Organization - Able to handle multiple responsibilities at once; manage information; and develop ongoing systems Project Management - Able to see through major projects and meet weekly deadlines Relational Ability - A "people" person who works well with Staff and volunteers of varying personality types.
