Bollinger Motors is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee strategic planning of procurement, storage, distribution, and supply processes. The Materials Manager ensures that materials are available to meet production schedules, manages inventory levels to prevent overstocking and shortages, and coordinates with other departments to ensure that the right materials are available at the right time. This position reports to the MP&L Director. This is an in-person role at the company's contract manufacturer in Livonia, MI. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Developing and implementing materials management strategies in line with organizational objectives. Oversee cycle counts and inventory accuracy between the manufacturing floor and the warehouse. Utilizing our ERP System, PLEX, to manage inventory and log all changes and movement of material. Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems. Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand. Managing staff and overseeing their training and development. Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Managing budgets and timelines within the department. Working cross functional with Supply Chain, MP&L, Manufacturing and Quality departments. Requirements We are focused on building a great team and beyond the technical skills, we require humility and teamwork. We expect to work in person on-site and full-time. A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Proven experience in materials management, material planning, and inventory control Experience in the automotive industry, preferably with commercial, electric vehicles. Experience utilizing an ERP System (PLEX preferred) to manage inventory in an automotive environment. Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment. Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is highly advantageous. Strong working knowledge of supply chain management software and tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Superb leadership capabilities and the ability to manage and develop a team. Effective communication and negotiation skills.
