Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer Exciting opportunity at one of the top robotics company! Job Description Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative software solutions for robotic applications focused on package handling. Act as an interface between DevOps and software teams, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of services. Enable and optimize robotic systems to deliver critical product features, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Develop and manage software and integration tools, including process management and environment setup, while facilitating the transition of applications to new platforms. Primary Job Function: ● Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative software solutions for robotic applications focused on package handling. ● Act as an interface between DevOps and software teams, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of services. ● Enable and optimize robotic systems to deliver critical product features, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Develop and manage software and integration tools, including process management and environment setup, while facilitating the transition of applications to new platforms. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum Skills/Technical Requirements: ● Experience: o 5+ years in software development. o Proven commercial experience in a fast-paced, agile environment. o Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. ● Technical Competence: o Expertise in navigating and contributing to large, complex codebases. o Demonstrated ability to manage and execute technical efforts across small teams. o Capable of operating autonomously and making informed technical decisions. o Ability to justify and communicate technical priorities to management. ● Proficiencies: o Programming Languages: Python, C++, Bash, and other scripting languages. o Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker/Docker-compose. o Databases: MongoDB and other NoSQL databases. o Strong understanding of parallel and distributed systems, including experience with cloud technologies for deploying and managing scalable, high performance applications. o System-level components that interface between user applications and the operating system o Network Configuration & Protocols. o Asynchronous and concurrent programming (e.g., asyncio). o Version Control & CI/CD: Git, GitHub Actions. o Issue Tracking: Jira. Preferred Qualifications: ● Technical Expertise: o Ubuntu Kernel-level knowledge. o System design and design patterns. o Experience with ArgoCD/Workflows. o Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System) and Zookeeper. o Understanding of Warehouse Management/Control Systems (WMS/WCS). o Robotics and robotic solutions. o Basic knowledge of robot simulation and visualization. ● Specialized Experience: o Exposure to or strong interest in robotics and the material handling industry. o Proficiency in basic data analysis (logging, profiling, statistics). o Experience with: ▪ Clear code documentation. ▪ Software testing (e.g., pytest). ▪ Real sensors, robots, and robot simulation. ▪ API development and distributed networking (e.g., Apache Kafka, gRPC, DDS). ● Master's degree in Computer Science #LD-KD1 About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
