Production Specialist

As Production Specialist is a critical part of tooling development team and focuses on statistical process control. Primary focus in extrusion department, then other departments as needed. Essential Functions Other duties may be assigned: Investigate production and quality issues and work with production supervisors and machine operators to correct processes. Solve technical and processing issues; suggest changes on PLC's. Coordinate production trials (new compounds, new material), evaluate the process, and share the results with the team. Conduct capabilities studies. Complete material testing. Coordinate continuous improvement projects. Required Education and Experience Engineering or technical degree or equivalent education. Plastics processing knowledge Competencies Possess high attention to detail, planning and organizational skills. Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with team and be fact and results focused. Be hands-on, self-motivated, independent, and a strong team player.
