JOB TITLE: Integrated Voter Engagement Coordinator REPORTING TO: Integrated Voter Engagement Manager UNIT: Mobilization FLSA STATUS: Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: The Integrated Voter Engagement (IVE) Coordinator is responsible for providing crucial support to the IVE Manager in the implementation of our voter engagement program to empower Black women, Black queer folks, and Black marginalized individuals who are either unregistered or infrequent voters. The IVE Coordinator will assist in connecting this voter base to the local and national Reproductive Justice movement. The IVE Coordinator mobilizes Black people of all genders and backgrounds, builds organizational visibility, and is dedicated to the health and well-being of those we support in the assigned location. The IVE Coordinator represents the interests of New Voices and our constituents in various settings through voter engagement coalitions, partnerships and alliances. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Manage a team of seasonal canvassers throughout a year-long program that includes planning and executing activities for General, Special, and Primary Elections. Coordinate, monitor, and support New Voices' base building strategies through voter registration and engagement. Assist in recruiting and supervising canvassers and volunteers. Develop, maintain, and expand organizational partnerships with local organizations, and strategic partners in their home city. Support Community Organizers in facilitating community relief initiatives and miscellaneous mutual aid efforts. Implement effective measurement tools to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of organizing campaigns, calls to action, and base building strategies. Represent New Voices at community events, town halls, meetings, and coalition gatherings. Assist with the creation of materials for education workshops and training sessions. Build base of supporters for Reproductive Justice with community outreach, education and engagement with partners, allies and collaborators. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS: A combination of experience and education in a relevant field is preferred. Experience in Voter Engagement, Community Organizing, Activism, Public Policy Advocacy, Human Rights, Leadership Development, Black Women's Health, and/or Social Justice. 1-3 years Experience in the Voter Engagement space. Ability to work independently and excellent time management skills. Must be able to work evenings and/or weekends. Reliable transportation is required. Outgoing, experienced, results-driven self-starter with a professional background in voter engagement, community organizing, and/or leadership development. Experience in social justice, racial justice, and/or reproductive justice or health is preferred Proficiency in utilizing Zoom and Google Suite Prior experience with CRM software a plus OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Affirms the core principles of the Reproductive Justice and Human Rights framework for Black women, Black queer folks, and Black marginalized people. Must be willing to learn to effectively discuss Reproductive Justice and New Voices' community care, resourcing, and mutual aid efforts with a wide variety of audiences. Demonstrates discipline and motivation in completing designated assignments. Exhibits creativity, resourcefulness, and flexibility. Demonstrates passion, enthusiasm, motivation, commitment, integrity, humor, optimism, positivity, and the ability to inspire others to engage with New Voices. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: Integrated Voter Engagement Manager Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): N/A WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a remote office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions: 1) Travels to New Voices offices/events in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or Cleveland to accomplish essential job functions as needed. 2) Frequently required to work at a fast pace 3) Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; 4)The ability to lift 15 pounds with or without assistance; 7)Requires irregular hours including evening and weekend work.
