What You'll Do: Providing technical guidance on new and emerging accounting and reporting issues. Leading/assisting business in implementing new requirements. Support external auditors on annual financial audits and quarterly financial reviews Research and analyze non-routine and complex technical accounting issues, prepare accounting memos documenting accounting positions taken, and assist in the creation of 'audit-ready' workpapers supporting the related journal entries Maintaining accurate supporting analysis and documentation across various complex accounting areas including equity and stock-based compensation, internally developed software, revenue recognition, leases, and foreign currency transactions Ensuring that adMarketplace's accounting policies are being followed in accordance with US GAAP. Review each technical accounting area on a continuous basis to verify such compliance is continuous. Lead the implementation of new US GAAP accounting standards, including working with various cross-functional stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. 5+ Years of Experience, ideally with experience at a Big 4 (or large national) public accounting firm Active CPA license or currently pursuing licensure Technical Accounting experience including research and memo writing and the preparation of accounting policies Experience with US GAAP and knowledge of key accounting concepts such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), R&D, consolidation and stock-based compensation (ASC 718) Strong analytical skills; including proven ability to independently analyze transactions and contracts and document the related accounting analysis under GAAP Willingness and desire to teach and develop accounting staff Highly motivated. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience; training; associated responsibilities; and other business and organizational needs.
