Production Manager - Lazy River Products, LLC Lazy River Products, LLC "LRP" is a fully-integrated, state of the art cannabis-based product development company in Dracut, MA. preparing to open a second retail location in Tewksbury, MA. What we're looking for: LRP is in search of an experienced Production Manager to lead and contribute to developing our Packaging team as we grow!! Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Production Manager will be highly skilled in manufacturing and production processes, managing manufacturing teams, and someone who delivers results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and knowledge of GMP and the ability to manage teams through times of growth and change. Job Information: Title: Production Manager Industry: Adult-Use Cannabis (MA) Salary: $70,000/annual Location: Dracut, MA Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm w/30-min break (40 hours/week) Important Notice: This is not a remote or hybrid position and requires 100% on site Status: Full-time Pay Type: Salaried Pay Status: Exempt Required Job Qualifications : At least 5 years of proven Manufacturing or Production experience. At least 2 years of proven managerial experience. At least 2 years of experience in cannabis industry experience. Strong leadership skills with experience in employee training, performance management, and building high-performing teams. Degree in production, manufacturing, business or related field. Knowledge and understanding of weights and measurements. Demonstrated knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Experience with other production and manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) and point of sale applications. Proficiency in Metrc and Dutchie (Backend). Working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems. Proven experience with inventory and production management. Thorough understanding of State and local cannabis laws and how they apply to the operations of Lazy River Products. Job Description: The Production Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day production operations of Lazy River Products' ("LRP") production facility in accordance with State and local laws, regulations, and LRP standards. The Production Manager oversees production-based cannabis packaging, inventory audits, synchronizing Metrc & ERP Inventory systems, assisting with affiliated and unaffiliated transfers, and managing non cannabis inventory for production. They also provide support for all packaging and processing employees including schedules, training, policy and procedure updates, industry news, and product information. The Production Manager is responsible for the documentation and tracking of inventory control procedures and all production and packaging procedures. In accordance with LRP Policy the Production Manager shall be a full-time employee of the production facility and shall participate in production center affairs which includes, but is not limited to, responsibility for the overall production operation of the production facility as well as maintaining all files subject to audit or inspection by the department. This position reports directly to the COO. Core Job Responsibilities: Employee Support and Management Oversee the packaging and processing staff, facility schedules, production processes, inventory, and vendor relations. Serve as a role model and resource for packaging and processing staff concerning products and services, policies and procedures, industry news, and changes in regulations. Respond to all employee questions, concerns, or suggestions and takes action when necessary to resolve conflicts. Oversee the delegation of tasks to packaging and processing employees to maintain a compliant and clean facility. Coordinate with the Executive Management Team to ensure that accurate information and documentation is provided to the management team as well as production staff. Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations regarding packaging and processing. Manufacturing Operation Management Oversee all production tasks and processes and ensures proper documentation of all applicable activities in accordance with the State and standards set by Lazy River Products. Plan, coordinate, and oversee the transition of product development by ensuring that the proper tasks are executed and that environmental conditions support the production of superior product quality. Oversee supply stock, orders, and deliveries to ensure efficient levels of all production inputs and supplies. Communicate with management of all departments regarding production and finished product schedules. Implement Good Manufacturing Practices to increase production proficiency. Define production workflows, schedules and targets for production associates. Identify and meet deadlines for order fulfillment. Reports and Documentation Generate production reports to identify production targets and any production deficiencies. Maintain accurate records of all production activities including employee records, inventory records, deliveries and returns in accordance with the State and standards set by Lazy River Products. Ensure that employees properly document all required information throughout all production procedures. Audit record-keeping and implements measures as needed to ensure thorough documentation of all production activities. Maintaining COA/testing records file organization, standard inventory based Operating Procedures, inventory records, audit records, storage, and transfer records. Maintaining physical and digital documents for each inventory audit. Overseeing that proper storing methods are being used, labeling, tracking, and reporting of all inventory discrepancies. Inventory Control and Management Plan and execute inventory control procedures for all production materials, supplies, and finished product. Manage production supplies by assessing and calculating inventory needs based on product orders and projections. Communicate with the Executive Management Team regarding inventory control and tracking procedures, including results, patterns of loss, surplus, and discrepancies. Coordinate affiliated and unaffiliated transfers to all internal and external customers. Quality Control Ensure the highest level of quality control and is an authority listed in the QC procedures. Approve, reject, and release for sale all items produced in the production facility. Participate in quarterly quality control audits and meetings with the leadership team to discuss quality control audit findings and corrections. Safety and Security Maintain a continuous state of alertness to ensure the highest standards of safety for fellow employees, products, and the facility. Assists with research, communications, or other assigned projects. Additional duties as assigned. Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Manufacturing work environment. Work environment may have loud machine-related noise. Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds. This job function may include sitting, walking, reaching, standing, or bending for extended periods of time. Ability to perform activities for up to 8-10 hours a day.
