Details Pay - IAM member starts at $24.98 to Top Rate of $29.19 Essential Functions of the Job: Using spray guns, air and airless spray, prime or finish paint any complete machine or machine unit to standard two- color plan or special multi-colored plan as specified by Sales Orders. Drive machines into spray booth, position upper structure, apply and wipe off thinner in preparation to painting. Visually check machine for proper smoothness, oil leaks, caulking, missing parts, and mask where needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Ability to read, write legibly and carry out verbal and written instructions. Ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner as needed to complete assigned duties. Ability to plan work to maximize utilization of equipment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to operate power industrial trucks. Ability to read and properly interpret blueprints. Ability to check work with measuring instruments. Ability to perform related tasks, including routine machine care and maintenance, material handling, recordkeeping and any other duties as assigned by supervision. Ability to plan and perform diversified work of average complexity with frequent physical effort in handling and moving material. Ability to practice safe work habits, including PPE requirements and all safety rules. Ability to comply with plant rules and attendance rules. Ability to perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge of GMS and safety systems to ensure compliance. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED Minimum 1 year assembly experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment or transferrable experience preferred Working Conditions: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist/turn, bend/squat, climb, reach below knees and reach above shoulders on a continuous basis. Must be physically capable of standing/working 8+ hour shift(s) Frequent overtime scheduled, including weekends Frequently required to lift/carry up to 15 lbs unassisted, occasionally lift/carry 16-50lbs unassisted. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
