Position Summary: The Director, Total Rewards is responsible for leading the strategy, design, planning, and implementation of Total Rewards programs, processes, policies, and procedures to meet and support changing and ongoing regional business needs ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategies and objectives. The position will ensure Total Rewards practices are competitive, compliant with country regulations, and effectively support business goals. The person will also be a key advisor to regional leadership and collaborate closely with the global Total Rewards team to align the regional programs with global standards and strategies. Qualifications: Education: A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a master's degree or professional certification is preferred. Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in strategy, design, planning, and implementation of innovative Total Rewards programs to include, compensation, benefits, retirement, and other rewards plans, with a strong focus on European markets. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience in managing HR or compensation teams within a multinational or global organization. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of European compensation and benefits regulations, including knowledge of local labour laws and practices across different European countries. Able also to support in other geographies (India, China, etc). Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align compensation and benefits with business objectives. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply market data, organizational trends, and best practices to Total Rewards strategies. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership. Additional Requirements: Typical Office Environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, walking, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. Requires the capability for 15-25% travel domestically and internationally. Job located in Barcelona, Spain (preferred) Responsibilities: Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of compensation and benefits strategies in alignment with the organization's overall goals and the specific needs of the regional markets. Consultation: Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and People teams within the region, providing insights and recommendations on total rewards programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with business objectives. Compliance: Ensure that all compensation and benefits programs adhere to local, national, and regional regulations, maintaining compliance and mitigating legal risks. Market Competitiveness: Regularly assess the regions competitive position by analysing market data, industry trends, and internal metrics, and recommend adjustments to maintain or enhance competitiveness. Program Management: Oversee the administration of the Total Rewards programs, including the annual wage planning process, bonus planning, and equity award programs, ensuring they are managed effectively and in alignment with global standards. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and products that support the rewards strategy. Change Management: Act as a change agent, driving initiatives that promote innovation, process improvement, and alignment with global Total Rewards strategies. Integration and M&A Support: Participate in merger and acquisition activities, providing expertise on regional Total Rewards matters to ensure smooth integration of acquired entities. Proxy and Compliance Support: Assist the global Total Rewards team with the preparation of compensation data for proxy disclosures and compensation committee meetings, as required. Performance Monitoring: Monitor the effectiveness of existing regional Total Rewards policies, guidelines, and procedures, recommending plan revisions as necessary to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with divisional objectives.
