Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Skilled Utility Date Posted: 10/23/2024 Location: Lincoln Park Board Office Closing Date: Until Filled District: Lincoln Park Public Schools LINCOLN PARK PUBLIC SCHOOLS 1650 Champaign Lincoln Park, Michigan 48146 ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY MAINTENANCE 2024 POSITION(S): Skilled Utility (1) Position QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with all of the following is required: Building repair Minor vehicle & Small engine repair Repairing of snow blowers & lawn mowers Minor electronic repair Phone system repair Interior/exterior construction Plumbing and Electrical Motor repair, pump repair, boiler repair including controls Experience with door lock repair, panic locks, and Best Key Systems Must have or be able to obtain a chauffeur's license Able to operate a tractor and dump truck Must be able to utilize a PC, email, reports, etc. Ability to distinguish colors correctly Must be in good health Able to lift and carry heavy loads Able to work outside in all seasons Must be willing to continuously update and increase skills set as required by the district Must possess good communication skills and a customer service attitude Ability to work independently and with others with minimal supervision Able to maintain all equipment used in that position Knowledge of plants, trees, grass, fence repairs, cement work, fertilizers, weed killers, etc. Excellent attendance and punctuality Able to maintain a schedule of requests as presented by the Director of Buildings & Grounds Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable. DUTIES: Create and maintain preventive maintenance programs for all HVAC systems throughout the district. Operate and maintain a computer based Building Management System. Maintain logs and records of work performed, material used, and time to repair. Maintain stock of commonly needed parts and supplies. Safely use, store, and maintain all tools needed to perform work Report unsafe conditions immediately and take steps to protect others from danger. Be available for emergency repairs on weekends and in the evening.
